Presentation

innovation in all its aspects and its capacity for territorial impact is one of the issues that contribute to improving the quality of life in rural areas, whether in the provision of services and coverage of needs or the creation of employment opportunities. In this sense, characterizing the conditions that stimulate and enable an innovative rural environment and exploring the capacities of collaborative actions and initiatives are two of the objectives of the project Territorios Activos.

TWO MAIN TOPICS

In this double call, the project extends the debate at the territorial level in two ways:

  • Enhancing an innovative rural environment. Perspectives and international experiences. The seminar aims to share and learn about research and experiences related to this vision of rural innovation in a territorial sense, without geographical limits, to be able to compare conditions in different contexts. It is intended to be a space for exchange and debate, not only academic or institutional but also for the leaders of innovation experiences (whether they are groups, entities, companies or individuals), on the characterization and promotion of rural innovation with a positive impact in social and environmental terms on the territory.
    • Problems and methodologies in rural innovation research
    • Socio-environmental innovation: social economy, collaborative ventures
    • Economic innovation: business, product, process…
    • Institutional action, local development and formulas for promoting innovation
  • The potential of collaborative tools for territorial research and dynamization of rural areas. Collaborative initiatives have the potential to multiply their scope by being able to combine collective power in pursuit of a series of common objectives: production of knowledge, setting up the tool and network for its production and the means to spread it. We are interested in discovering and sharing collaborative tools, on the one hand, oriented or applicable to learning about innovation in rural areas and on the other hand, aimed at favouring and promoting innovative initiatives with a positive impact on the quality of life in rural areas:
    • Collaborative territorial maps
    • Digital collaborative platforms
    • Others
